If want to look into the future of technology...
Pay attention to the present state of games.
Backing up a few years, technology was mostly created in times of war.
But then after video games entered the scene, they literally stole the show.
You can sure go through the history of video games to find features that only became present on more "normal" technologies years later.
And that includes hardware thingies. Quake provided us with 3D graphics using this nifty algorithm.
I haven't really given much thought to this, but it's one of the things I really believe in, if you want to get a good pc for work, find one for gaming, and you won't be disappointed.
Same with keyboards, mice, and any extra accessories.
Anyhow, that's my personal heuristic to deal with what is going to happen in the future and how to pick computers/cellphones to buy.
What are yours?
