Movies I Love

In no particular order:

  • Inglorious Basterds, Hans Landa is the best movie villain of all time.
  • 28 days later. If you have to watch only one zombie movie in your life, make it this one; even all these years later, it still hits as an original well-thought-out movie.
  • Kill Bill is probably my favorite action movie to this day.
  • I love Batman Begins, I think it's the perfect Batman movie.
  • But Batman 2022 is pretty damn good too. Great movie.
  • Talking about Batman by Christopher Nolan, my favorite Christopher Nolan movie is Memento. Completely out of the box on this one.
  • Spider-Man 2002 holds a special place in my heart, and one of the reasons I learned English faster. I already knew all the dialogue in Portuguese, so when I watched it in English, I started groking a lot of words.
  • Godfather, brilliant movie.
  • The Founder, there is something about the flow of this movie that just captures me.
  • Steve Jobs 2015 has a great story format and is one of my favorite biopics.
  • The Social Network has great dialogue and flow as well.
  • The Big Short is so good with story, dialogue, memorable scenes, and infotainment that I have to watch it every year.
  • The Lord of the Rings trilogy is also awesome. I started loving it when I was 25, before that, I hated the pacing, story, everything. I wonder why that changed.
  • By that same amount I used to love Pirates of Silicon Valley growing up, but now I can't stand that movie, it's so bad.
  • Black Hawk Down is still a kick in the guts for me.
  • Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the best action movies I've seen. Super original, little to no CGI and just raw as fuck.
